Matt and Dylan's journey began online in February 2021, during a time when COVID-19 had closed many restaurants and venues. For their first date, they opted for a cozy home-cooked meal prepared by Matt. The menu? Pot roast, “homemade” rolls, mashed potatoes, and the highlight -Matt's mom’s apple sauce, which quickly won Dylan’s heart.

Their official first date came on February 13, 2021, when Dylan finally got the chance to take Matt to a nice restaurant. Little did they know, they’d be stuck in a Texas snowstorm without power, water, or heat for the next five days. Despite the chaos, they spent those snowy days laughing, playing games, and truly getting to know each other.

Fast forward, not much has changed. They love spending time together watching Dylan's crime documentaries, playing virtual golf with family, or laughing over reruns of I Love Lucy, all while enjoying one of Matt’s homemade meals.

In October 2021, Matt took Dylan to Las Vegas for the first time. While Dylan loved every part of the trip, his favorite memory was seeing Absinthe at Caesars Palace (highly recommended!). Since then, Vegas has become their favorite vacation spot.

In February 2022, they grew their little family by adopting their beloved pup, Brutus Waverly.

Then, in May of 2023, Matt got down on one knee, proposing to Dylan front row at Absinthe—the perfect proposal for their love story.

As Vegas holds so many special memories for them, it seemed only right to return there to share this next adventure with all of you.
